The planning of the Village Hall goes back to as far as 1937, when the Parochial Charities (P.C.) were asked to release the land that Bridge Cottage used to stand on for a new Village Hall….All of the sports clubs, Scouts, Girl Guides, WI and other groups in the village set about raising money for this exciting new project and by 1939 work had started… Things came to a halt with the impending war.......

Among the treasured images adorning the walls of Wraysbury Village Halls is a distinguished portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a lasting reminder of a momentous occasion in our village’s history. On October 1974, Wraysbury Village Halls were officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen as part of her Royal Progress of the Thames, a historic journey marking the formation of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Her visit remains a proud milestone in Wraysbury’s history..

Beyond being a hub of activity, Wraysbury Village Halls rremembers events of deep historical significance. Upon entering, you will find a poignant tribute to the brave men and women of Wraysbury who served in times of war but never returned home. Their names are etched in our entrance hall as a solemn reminder of their sacrifice. This lasting memorial ensures that their legacy is honored and remembered by all who walk through our doors.
